Here’s a little peek at my bedroom. It’s probably the place I spend the most time in my (tiny) apartment. Above is my dresser, which includes:
Grass Widow poster (actually a lyric sheet newsprint from their 2012 release Internal Logic), photo booth strip of yours truly and best friend/partner-in-crime Jenna of Heart Shaped Hate fame, Target lamp with Ikea shade that I’ve owned for approximately one million years, Anna Sui Dolly Girl Bonjour L’Amour perfume (“signature scent”), several jewelry boxes/trays/baskets, a half-burned vanilla-scented candle, oversized blue vintage poodle bank that belonged to my mother, kittens-in-a-basket figurine from a weird dollar store, glass “amethyst” lamp, and a hot pink shoebox filled with sunglasses/accessories.
Assorted necklaces and brooches. I made these record bowls from some pastel-colored 7″ records. Don’t worry, the band wasn’t very good…
On the left: unicorn clock found at an estate sale in Chicago for $2, topped with “magic things”
On the right: a couple prints by the lovely Wishcandy, necklaces/trinkets, a flyer for the cat cafe I went to in Tokyo, cute erasers (dog, hippo, burger), Japanese beer candy
Another shot of the closet wall. The neon screen-printed poster in the corner is by Ryan Duggan.
Aforementioned “magic things”: unicorn figurine, amethyst skull, prism, amethyst ore, indigo/iridescent ore
Sometime I will show you the rest of the room, including my desk/workspace and bed (both of which were too messy for this particular photo op).
